I recently had the privilege of facilitating key sessions at the Communications & Public Affairs Departmental Retreat for the African Reinsurance Corporation (Africa Re). This experience reminded me of the power of strategic communication to shape not only messaging but also mindset and culture.
For a whole day, I led training on:
✅ Strategic Communication — helping teams align messaging with purpose and strategy.
✅ Internal Communication & Team Engagement — unlocking the value of collaboration, clarity, and feedback loops.
✅ Crisis & Risk Communication — preparing teams to respond calmly and credibly in high-stakes scenarios.
✅ Stakeholder Engagement & External Relations — building professional presence and diplomatic skills in multi-stakeholder contexts.
Beyond the technical content, what stood out was the department’s openness to growth, the quality of conversations, and the commitment to move from knowledge to action.
The retreat wasn’t just about skills. It was about the transformation of individuals, team dynamics, and strategic posture.
